1. Summary
ShiftProof helps you record jobs, shifts, payslips, tax assumptions, compare results, and exported payroll audit reports. Most information is stored locally on your device. If iCloud is available on the same Apple ID, ShiftProof may also store certain restore data using Apple's iCloud services so setup and access can be restored on another device signed into the same Apple ID.
2. Information you provide or generate in the app
Depending on how you use ShiftProof, the app may store the following categories of information:
- Job details such as employer or role name, currency, time zone, pay frequency, pay day rules, default break rules, and hourly rate assumptions.
- Tax and deduction settings such as tax code, region, national insurance category, pension assumptions, student loan settings, and estimate preferences.
- Shift history including start and end times, breaks, premium labels, tips, allowances, notes, and any manual rate overrides.
- Payslip and compare information including gross pay, taxable pay, deductions, net pay, custom lines, compare results, variance resolution notes, and report status.
- App preferences such as selected theme and whether money amounts are hidden in privacy mode.
- Support and access data such as a locally generated lifetime access record and recovery code used to restore access when needed.
3. How we use information
ShiftProof uses stored information to run the app, calculate expected pay, compare expected figures with payslips, support report exports, restore setup on eligible devices, and preserve your selected app preferences. Tiny Life Apps may also use information you send directly by email to respond to support requests, investigate bugs, and improve the product.
4. Storage, device processing, and iCloud restore
ShiftProof is designed to work without a separate account. Your app data is primarily stored on your device using Apple's local app storage technologies.
- If iCloud is available on your device, ShiftProof may store structured setup and access restore data in iCloud key-value storage tied to the same Apple ID.
- This restore path is intended to help rehydrate jobs, tax setup, selected preferences, shift history, payslip summaries, compare state, and lifetime access status.
- ShiftProof does not currently sync everything through iCloud. In particular, some file-based items such as imported attachments and generated export files may remain device-local unless you move or back them up separately.
Your use of iCloud is also subject to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
5. Attachments, imported files, and exported PDFs
You may attach evidence files such as photos or PDFs to shifts and payslips. When you do, ShiftProof stores references and local copies needed for the app to display and include them where applicable. ShiftProof may also generate PDF audit reports on your device when you export a report.
- Attachments and exported reports can contain sensitive personal or financial information depending on what you add.
- Those files are stored locally on your device unless you separately share, move, or back them up.
- If you use the app's share or export features, the destination you choose will determine what happens next to that file.
6. Sharing and disclosures
Tiny Life Apps does not sell your personal information. ShiftProof is built so most information remains on-device. Information may be disclosed only in limited situations, such as:
- when you choose to export, share, or email a report or attached file;
- when Apple provides iCloud restore services that you have enabled on your device;
- when disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the app.
7. Retention and deletion
Your data remains in ShiftProof until you delete it, remove the app, or use in-app reset tools. The app includes destructive reset tools for local data and separate options for clearing export history. If restore snapshots are stored in iCloud, removal from a device does not necessarily remove information already saved through the iCloud restore path.
If you want to request deletion of support emails or other information you sent directly to Tiny Life Apps, contact tinylifeapps@gmail.com.
8. Your choices
- You can choose what information to enter into ShiftProof.
- You can choose whether to use privacy mode to hide visible money amounts in the interface.
- You can choose whether to share reports or attached files outside the app.
- You can use available reset and restore controls in Settings to manage local data and access restoration.
9. Children's privacy
ShiftProof is not directed to children under 13, and Tiny Life Apps does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
10. Changes to this policy
Tiny Life Apps may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as ShiftProof evolves. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
